The San Angelo Amateur Radio Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that traces its origins to 1922.
Its members continue to serve the Concho Valley of west central Texas by promoting amateur radio and other STEM-related activities to the public, by serving the public as storm spotters and radio operators at the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, by working with local and state emergency management to assist with communications when requested, and by serving the amateur radio community through fostering a welcoming social environment and promoting the tradition of "elmering" newer or less experienced amateurs in order to help them improve their knowledge and skills.
SAARC holds monthly business and regular meetings. Please visit their website at www.w5qx.org for more information or to contact them.
