Our CERT patch recognizes your service as a CERT volunteer. The patch measures 2.4" tall by 4" wide and has thermal glue backing for easy application to your material using an iron. We recommend tack threads around the perimeter to ensure the edges remain flat.

What is CERT? In Amateur Radio, CERT refers to an organization of volunteer emergency workers who have received specific training in basic disaster response skills, and who agree to supplement existing emergency responders in the event of a major disaster.

The concept of civilian auxiliaries is similar to Civil Defense, which has a longer history. The CERT concept differs because it includes nonmilitary emergencies, and is coordinated with all levels of emergency authorities, local to national, via a broader incident command system.
